Paul has been very busy lately. I have been swimming, working part-time and a feeling bit under the weather so he has been rushed off his feet, looking after me as well as teaching all his usual hours, painting, presenting an Art Bite talk in the Council Chamber and preparing for the next exhibition ( see below).
At the beginning of June I entered the Castle to Castle Swim - this is a swim organised by the RNLI across the estuary of the River Fal, from Pendennis Castle to St Mawes Castle, a distance of about one mile. It was quite hard going – the water is very deep and the current is swift! However, the event raises funds for the RNLI so it’s all good. Over 300 swimmers entered this year. Read all about it here
Speaking of the RNLI, Paul has another exhibition coming up rapidly! We shall again be supporting the Plymouth branch of the RNLI on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July, this time at the Royal William Yard, Plymouth – Residence 1 to be precise, which is on the left as you go through the gates of RWY and overlooks the Green. Paul will have many new paintings on display, the RNLI volunteers will be there and we have been told that one of the Lifeboats will be in the harbour on the Sunday – which is also the day of the Good Food Market.
Paul has been working hard in the run up to this show and has once again produced some beautiful work.
Here is a preview:
The exhibition will be open from 10 – 5 on both days, and Paul and I would both be delighted to see you there. Everyone is welcome – just come in! Look out for Paul’s exhibition banner and the RNLI banners.
